Chinese star jasmine – Trachelospermum jasminoides – hangs over a trellis in my garden.
Dry, Australian earth and sparkling pond water, again, in my garden.
Jasmine stars hanging in the sky turn their face to the sun, looking for praise, or they hide away behind one another.
They can be strong and bright and confident and so very easily crushed. They can stand up to a storm and they can have people walk all over them.
The garden pond will quench their thirst and that of the parched ground. It’s sweet, sparkling and clear.
The grass is lush, now. Sit and stay a while.
